Holy Saints

Hello Families,
This week there is a Family Adoration “Holy Half Hour!” Jesus himself said, “Let the little children come to me.” It will be hosted by Holy Saints ACC and at St. Wendelin’s church and Mary Hall. Adoration will be from 6:30 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, Dec 1st! Please know the Mary Hall will be open from 6:30 – 7:30 with some Advent activities and Hot Chocolate & treats for all to enjoy. All families and kiddos of any age are welcome to attend!

*Adoration will continue till it closes at its normal time of 8 pm.*

Ideas to help with little children:
1. If this is your first time going to adoration with small children, be realistic with expectations. Many small children can not last 30 minutes… most likely only 5! God created them that way, so don’t worry about duration!
2. Keep it positive! Encourage your children by saying ” We are going to see Jesus for a few minutes, then go get some Hot Chocolate.”
3. Split the time/crew with parents. Have one parent stay longer with older children & one parent leave with younger children.
4. Share with your child what they are seeing and what is happening. Encourage them to pray silently or together with you.

What is Adoration?
When Catholics say they are “going to Adoration,” they are typically referring to Eucharistic Adoration. Which, in the most basic terms, is the worship of the Eucharist outside of the Mass. The Eucharistic Host is displayed in a monstrance on the altar so that all can see and pray in the presence of Christ.
